DESCRIPTION

U-section translucent impressed glass sheets may be assembled into large walls without needing metallic sections.

The glass channel is a cast glass formed through computer-controlled furnaces, consistently producing glass of the highest quality and to accurate dimensions. The U-shaped configuration of the glass produces a high structural strength within the channel, allowing it to be installed at high level or in large unit lengths without the need for additional horizontal or vertical support.

The system provides a variety of architectural solutions. Its main use is the creation of outdoor glass surfaces and it is suitable for oversized glass facades. SGG U-GLAS is increasingly being used in modern architecture focused on design, where it adds value to the inside through the light input and to the outside by the particular visual impact.

PRODUCT APPLICATION

• Facades: SGG U-GLAS is frequently used in outside vertical closure systems, single or double, flat or curved, in rooms that need a large amount of light: hotels, office buildings, shopping centres, health centres, between floors, stairways, dryer, galleries to courtyards or gardens, garages, ships and industrial equipment.

• Facades/partitioned areas in sports centres

SGG U-GLAS complies with the European Standard EN 572, EN 410, EN 672 and carries the CE marking.

SGG U-GLAS is produced in standard shape, reinforced and unreinforced versions, in order to cover the existing construction needs. The colours available to order are: clear, extra-clear, grey, bronze, blue and green.
